The University of Miami is a private research university with more than 15,000 students from around the world (approx. 10,000 undergraduate). The University creates a vibrant and diverse community focused on teaching and learning, student activities, and service to the South Florida region and beyond.
The University is comprised of 12 schools and colleges serving undergraduate and graduate students with more than 180 majors and programs, in addition to over 250 student organizations.
What is proudly known as "The U" has a thriving Jewish population, representing countries like Israel, Venezuela, France, Canada, Argentina and many more!
Making up 15-20% the UM population, Jewish students are welcome and included across all domains of campus life.
